The FX1 Pro racing seat comes in three different sizes, the FX1 Pro, FX1, and FX1 Wide. The FX1 Pro combines comfort, performance, and safety at an absolutely unbeatable price. Designed with an emphasis on comfort, this seat is one of the most comfortable race seats you will ever sit in. One of the unique things about the FX1 Pro is it can be bottom or side mounted. Most shell seats are side mount only, which means you have to side mount the seat and bolt it directly to the floor, eliminating the ability to slide forward and back. With the FX1 Pro you can still bottom mount the seat to Corbeau brackets and sliders, which obviously makes the seat much more practical, especially in a daily driver. High wear patches are strategically placed to protect your seat from abuse in the high wear areas. The FX1 Pro comes with three removable insert cushions, one in the back, one in the base, and one under the thighs. The FX1 Pro racing seat is available in cloth material with leatherette high wear patches or black microsuede with leather high wear patches. As a rule of thumb, the FX1 Pro racing seat will fit up to a 36 inch waist, the FX1 (cloth only) will fit up to a 38 inch waist and the FX1 Wide (black cloth only) will fit up to a 42 inch waist.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWe can assist you in the design of your seat bracket by explaining to you what we did in our own cars. Our rack is machined in house out of 6061 Billet Aluminum. We have designed this rack to be completely rebuildable. To reduce steering effort we have the pinion gear running on not one but two ball bearings and are using a very strong composite material that is embedded with Moly for our rack bushings. What does Moly do? Well, the Moly particles act as a dry lubricant to enhance the load bearing and wear capabilities while offering improved strength and rigidity while maintaining better fit and clearances. It also has less tendency to seize as bearings. We also tightened the tolerances and added a much larger support area to the rack gear to aid in strength and to prevent it from being damaged which is why we do not use a sprung tensioner on our rack. We made the whole thing greaseable. We utilize a HUGE 1.2\" Diameter rack gear made of 17-4 Heat Treated Stainless Steel (See the Comparison Pictures). This provides excellent strength and corrosion resistance to the gear. Our Rack gear features the same M16 x1.5mm threads as the OEM rack so you can still use your upgraded tie rods if you already have them.
